Young Athletes™
Overview: The Young Athletes™ program extends training-only opportunities to children with intellectual disabilities who are six and seven years old. By introducing sports at an early age, future Special Olympics athletes become interested and engaged in sports. They also realize the benefits of motor skills development, fitness, socialization, and how to be a part of an organized activity with peers.
Children can participate in training programs for Soccer Individual Skills, Basketball Individual Skills, and Track and Field.
