Aquatics

Overview:  Special Olympics D.C. has provided opportunities for children and adults with intellectual disabilities to learn how to swim competitively or take part in lead-up aquatics training activities.  Examples of the range of events offered include the 50 meter freestyle, 25 meter backstroke, 15 meter walk, and 15 meter flotation. Athletes of all abilities can participate in aquatics as a result of the wide range of events.

Currently, aquatics is being evaluated to determine the future direction of this program.
